Community Workshop #3

What does the future of Rancho Cordova look like? Help us shape that evolution!

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP #3
Date + Time:
February 26, 2026 from 5:30-7:30pm
Location: Rancho Cordova City Hall - 2729 Prospect Park Dr, Rancho Cordova

Join us for our next engaging community workshop on February 26, 2026 from 5:30-7:30pm at Rancho Cordova City Hall where your ideas will help shape Rancho Cordova for decades to come. Together, we’ll explore exciting new land-use opportunities—from reimagining underused spaces like office parks, to creating vibrant places where people can live, gather, and discover. We hope to see you there!

Please RSVP HERE to help us plan for the workshop! An RSVP is not required to attend.

The workshop will begin with a presentation to provide background and context for the land use alternatives, followed by an open house with stations around the room to collect your input on the following strategies.

Planning Strategy #1: What if our office parks could be so much more?

  • Imagine living close to where you work and being able to walk to shops, cafés and the dry cleaner. Meeting friends and neighbors in nearby parks. Our office parks don’t have to sit empty—they could become lively, mixed-use neighborhoods full of energy and opportunity.

  • What would YOU want to see in a reimagined office park? Join the conversation…

Planning Strategy #2: Folsom Boulevard: Just a road, or our next great street?

  • What if Folsom Boulevard became more than a way to get through town—what if it became a reason to stay? Picture tree-lined sidewalks, local shops, outdoor dining, and spaces that bring people together. A street that’s lively, walkable, and connected.

  • How do you envision Folsom Boulevard as a destination? Bring your ideas to our next workshop!

Planning Strategy #3: Imagine a new downtown for Rancho Cordova!

  • With a new soccer arena coming, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a vibrant city center—a place to gather, celebrate, and connect.

  • What can a downtown in Rancho Cordova become? Game-night energy spilling into great restaurants and bars, coffee shops, parks, music venues, and a town square that brings everyone together?

  • What’s your vision for a downtown in Rancho Cordova? Let’s build it together.

Planning Strategy #4: What if every neighborhood had access to daily essentials and a place to gather?

  • Instead of one city center, imagine vibrant neighborhood hubs throughout Rancho Cordova—places where you can walk to dinner, meet friends, or grab groceries without getting in your car.

  • Which approach speaks to you: one downtown or many neighborhood centers? Join the conversation and share your preference.

Planning Strategy #5: More housing choices that lead to more vibrant corridors

  • What if adding homes near transit and along older commercial streets could revitalize these areas?

  • More neighbors and thriving neighborhoods could support local businesses, create safer, livelier streets and attractive places to eat, shop, and gather. Townhomes, apartments, and live-work spaces can turn aging corridors into desirable destinations.

  • What types of new housing would YOU like to see near transit and commercial areas?
